II. General Provisions

The Avokado Parking car park operates 24/7 as:

  • an unattended, unguarded, paid car park with organized operation, monitored by a camera system,
  • providing parking services and long-term rental of parking spaces.

Within the designated area, vehicles may park in marked parking spaces if they belong to:

  • category M1 – vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers, with no more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat,
  • category N1 – vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of goods with a maximum permissible gross weight not exceeding 3,500 kg and a length up to 5.3 m.
  • The entry, stopping and parking of all types of vehicles with trailers and/or semi-trailers is prohibited.
  • The entrance and exit, as well as the internal roads of the car park, must not be blocked. In case of parking complications, the user must contact staff via intercom or, alternatively, the monitoring center by phone at 02/221 111 66.
  • For the purposes of these operating rules, the driver and accompanying persons in the vehicle are referred to as the “customer”. A person entering the car park on foot is referred to as a “visitor”. The customer and the visitor are jointly referred to as the “user”.
  • The car park means any area defined by the entrance, exit and simultaneous physical boundary of the car park land.
  • Movement of persons within the car park area that is not related to the use of a parking space or parking area is strictly prohibited.

The following applies throughout the entire car park area in full extent:

  • Act No. 8/2009 Coll. on Road Traffic and on amendments to certain acts,
  • Decree No. 464/2009 Coll., laying down details on the operation of vehicles in road traffic.
  • The speed limit throughout the entire car park area is 10 km/h.
  • Motorcycles are allowed to enter under the same conditions as passenger cars.
  • Encroachment on a neighboring parking space due to improper parking is considered parking in two (or more) parking spaces; the user is obliged to pay compensation for all such occupied parking spaces.
  • The car park is monitored by a camera system. The camera system is used exclusively for the purpose of protecting the car park and ensuring compliance with obligations under these operating rules.
  • Users are not entitled to request the operator to release recordings made by the camera system. The operator may provide recordings to a competent authority upon its request or if required by law.
  • The parking system allows entry to and exit from the car park for one vehicle only. Entry or exit directly behind the preceding vehicle is prohibited. The driver must wait for the preceding vehicle to pass, which ends with the barrier closing. Only then may the following vehicle proceed.
  • The maximum continuous parking period is set at 30 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the operator before parking begins.

III. Car Park Operating Hours and Parking Fees

  • Unless stated otherwise, parking vehicles in parking spaces during chargeable periods is permitted only upon payment of the parking fee.
  • The car park operates 24/7.

Parking price list – long-term parking:

  • The parking fee is governed by the currently valid price list published on the website https://avokadoparking.sk/#pricing and on information boards in the car park area.
  • Exit within 5 minutes is free of charge.
  • All prices include VAT.
  • The parking fee may be paid online when making a parking reservation or at the exit terminal, depending on the selected payment method.
  • A parking reservation may be created no earlier than 365 days (12 months) before the planned parking start date. Reservations outside this period cannot be created.

Parking mode:

  • Vehicle entry and exit are controlled by an automated parking system with license plate recognition and electronic recording of arrival and departure times; a paper ticket is not normally issued.
  • If the license plate is not recognized, the system issues a paper parking ticket, which serves as a substitute for the electronic record.
  • The exit barrier opens automatically once a paid license plate is recognized; if recognition fails, the parking ticket must be placed against the reader.
  • The system allows only one vehicle at a time to pass through the barrier; the driver must wait until the barrier of the preceding vehicle closes completely before proceeding.
  • Parking fees may only be paid at the exit terminal, exclusively by cashless payment.
  • If the free time has been exceeded, exit is possible only after payment of the parking fee at the exit terminal (located before the exit barrier):
  • if the vehicle is recognized electronically (without a parking ticket): the amount due is displayed automatically on the exit terminal screen; the tax receipt can be downloaded from www.receo.net,
  • if the user has a parking ticket: the ticket is inserted into the exit terminal, the amount due is displayed, and after payment the system returns the ticket; the tax receipt can be downloaded from www.receo.net,
  • after payment, the user has 5 minutes to leave the car park.

Fee for exceeding the reserved time (started day):

  • If the user exceeds the reservation time (the departure time stated in the reservation), the operator is entitled to charge a fee of €15 for each additional started day.
  • A “started day” means exceeding the reserved time even by as little as 1 minute.
  • In exceptional cases, the fee may be reduced or waived if all conditions listed below are met.

Exceptional cases – conditions for waiver/reduction of the fee:

The fee may be waived or reduced only if:

  1. the exceedance of the reservation time was caused by an objective event beyond the user’s control, in particular a proven flight delay/diversion/cancellation, airport closure, extraordinary event (e.g. mass transport restrictions) or a technical fault of the parking system,
  2. the user reports the reason without undue delay, no later than within 48 hours after exit, by e-mail or by phone,
  3. upon request, the user submits appropriate proof (e.g. boarding pass, flight delay confirmation, flight number and date, or other verifiable evidence),
  4. it does not constitute repeated abuse (waiver or reduction of the fee is possible at most once per 12 months for the same license plate),
  5. the exceedance did not arise intentionally or through gross negligence (e.g. ignoring the reserved time without attempting to resolve the situation).

The assessment of the request is at the operator’s discretion; if approved, the fee may be waived or reduced.

IV. Rights and Obligations of the Car Park User

  • By entering the car park, the user concludes a parking agreement with the operator under the conditions set out in these operating rules.

According to these operating rules, the relationship between the operator and the user begins and ends as follows:

  • it begins when the user’s vehicle enters the car park area and is governed by the conditions set out in these operating rules,
  • it ends when the user’s vehicle exits the car park area after payment of the applicable fees.

The user is entitled to:

  • park the vehicle in a designated parking space,
  • use the car park area for the purpose of parking.

The user is obliged to:

  • comply with the car park operating rules,
  • properly close and secure the vehicle against theft,
  • follow the applicable traffic signs, navigation and information signs, and comply with road traffic rules,
  • prevent damage to vehicles, the car park and its equipment,
  • use the parking space only for a roadworthy vehicle,
  • pay the parking fee at the exit terminal (if it was not paid online),
  • leave the car park premises after payment in accordance with the system instructions.

V. Rights and Obligations of the Operator

The operator is entitled to:

  1. require the user to comply with these operating rules,
  2. close part or all of the car park for operational or safety reasons,
  3. restrict entry to vehicles that do not meet operational or safety conditions,
  4. claim compensation for damage caused by the user.

The operator is not obliged to:

  1. ensure operation of the car park beyond the scope of these operating rules and generally binding legal regulations,
  2. provide users with recordings from the camera system (unless required by law),
  3. carry out continuous supervision of vehicles (the car park is unattended and unguarded),
  4. carry out control and monitoring of parking spaces beyond its operational capabilities.

VI. Liability for Damage

  • The car park area is unattended, unguarded and monitored by a camera system.
  • The operator is not liable for damage occurring in the car park area, including theft of a vehicle or any part thereof caused by a third party. Damage caused by another vehicle is the responsibility of the person who caused it, in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
  • The operator is not liable for damage to items left in vehicles during parking, nor for damage to freely removable vehicle parts.
  • Damage arising during the use of the car park must be addressed by the user with the competent authorities (e.g. the Police Force of the Slovak Republic) and the operator must be informed.
  • The user is obliged to take care not to cause damage to the operator and is responsible for any damage they cause.

VII. Car Park Operational Safety

The following is prohibited throughout the entire car park area:

  1. staying in the area without any connection to the use of the car park,
  2. repairing vehicles, handling operating fluids or otherwise endangering safety,
  3. smoking and handling open flames,
  4. storing waste, flammable or hazardous substances,
  5. tampering with electrical equipment, switchboards and the parking system.

VIII. Complaint Procedure (Defect Claim / Complaint)

The user has the right to file a complaint (claim a defect), in particular in cases where:

  1. the online reservation or payment was not processed correctly,
  2. the parking services were not provided to the agreed extent,
  3. a technical problem occurred in the system (e.g. incorrect license plate pairing, incorrect charging),
  4. other demonstrable deficiencies in the service occurred.

A complaint may be submitted:

  1. by e-mail to: rezervacia@avokadoparking.sk,
  2. in writing to the operator’s registered office address stated in Article I,
  3. in justified cases also by phone through the monitoring center (contact details are stated in Article II), while the operator may request that the complaint be supplemented in writing.
  • The complaint should include in particular: first and last name, contact details (e-mail/phone), reservation identification (if any), license plate number, date and time of the event, description of the problem and the requested method of resolution.
  • The operator shall confirm receipt of the complaint without delay and shall handle the complaint without undue delay, usually no later than within 30 days from its submission, unless a longer period is justified by an objective reason beyond the operator’s control.
  • If the user is not satisfied with the way the complaint has been handled, they have the right to contact the competent alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes, which is the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI), or use the online dispute resolution platform.

IX. Final Provisions

  • Legal relations between the operator and the user of the parking space arising from these operating rules shall be governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, even if the user is a foreign national.
  • Breach of these operating rules shall be assessed as an offense under Act No. 372/1990 Coll. on misdemeanors, unless it constitutes a minor offense or a criminal offense.
  • Authorized personnel with appropriate identification are also entitled to carry out parking checks, document breaches of the operating rules and record offenses in the zone.
  • These operating rules become effective on 15 September 2025.
  • These operating rules, together with the annexes forming an integral part thereof, are published at www.paas.sk.
